GRACE FOR GRACE
‘’Then the lord saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually and the lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth , and he was grieved in his heart. So the lord said,’ I will destroy man who I have made from the surface of the earth, man and the beast, creeping thing and the bird in the earth for I am sorry I have made them’’. But Noah found grace in the sight of the lord. – Gen 6: 5-8.
Grace is unmerited favour given to all. Noah was like the others but he found grace. ‘’And Noah began to be a farmer, and he planted a vineyard. Then he drank of the wine and was drunk and he became uncovered in his tent’’ –Gen 9: 20-21. Noah was a drunkard, yet he found grace. Grace paves where there is no way. ‘’Then it happened, as he was coming near Jericho, there was a certain blind man who sat by the side begging. And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what was happening, so they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried aloud saying, ‘’Jesus son of David, have mercy on me! Then those who went before him warned him that they should be quiet, but he cried out the more saying, Son of David have mercy on me! So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he had come near, he asked him saying, ‘what do you want me to do for you? He said, ‘’Lord that I may receive my sight! Then Jesus said to him, receive your sight for your faith has made you well! And immediately, he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people when they saw him gave praises to God’’ – Luke 18: 35-43.
When grace finds you, every other thing paves way. Grace arrested Jesus so he could attend to that blind man; grace opens doors even before you knock. If not for the grace of God, many would have been dead. The same breathe in animals is the same breath in us, but still we are better than them, that is grace. Some people are better than you but grace found you out. It is your responsibility to bring people into Gods kingdom. The grace of God is not for you alone but also for others. The grace given to you is to bring lost souls into the kingdom of God.
You are a light of the world, a light to those in darkness. If you have the light of God, people would bend towards you. The world is depending on you to bring light to the world. Your holiness and righteousness may not take you to heaven unless you bring people to the kingdom of God. God’s grace is sufficient for you.
